Blacksburg -- Patricia B. de Zeeuw, 68, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home. Born in Rochester, NY, Mrs. de Zeeuw was the wife of Hendrik de Zeeuw and the daughter of the late John Phillip and Betty Anne Strauchen Brigham. She worked as a homemaker and her hobbies were ceramics, knitting, and NASCAR. Mrs. de Zeeuw was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband, Mrs. de Zeeuw is survived by a son, Dave de Zeeuw and wife, Krista, of Woodbury, MN; two daughers, Monique de Zeeuw of Avon, NY and Victoria de Zeeuw of Geneseo, NY; a brother, John P. Brigham, II and wife, Sandy, of Palm Desert, CA; five grandchildren, Meghann Elliott, Gregory Elliott and wife, Jenna, Mariah Elliott, Zackary Beyers, and Eliza Beyers; and one great-granddaughter, Lila Marie Elliott. Services for Mrs. de Zeeuw will be private. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, 109 School Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
