Phillip Harris

Grover -- Phillip Ronald Harris, 59, of 118 Villa Drive, passed away Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland County, Mr. Harris was the husband of Emily Martin Harris of the home and the son of the late J. P. Harris and the late Pearlie Willard Lane. He worked as IT Coordinator at Foot Minerals and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Blacksburg, SC, where he was a former deacon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Phillip Harris, Jr. of Grover; a daughter, Julie Smith of Shelby; six grandchildren--Mallory Harris, Billy Moore Jr., Emily Smith, Alyssia Harris, Michael Smith, Alex Hannon; a brother, John Harris of Gastonia; and a sister, Diane Belt of Gastonia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Harris. The family will receive friends January 21st, 2011 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held January 21st, at 3:30pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
