Ralph Williams

Blacksburg -- Ralph Carson Williams, 76, of 370 McSwain Road, passed away Friday, December 9th, 2011, at his residence. Born in Dandridge, TN, Mr. Williams was the husband of Barbara Moore Williams of the home and the son of the late James Jess Williams and Savannah Cora Snapp Grindstaff. He retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Robert Allen Williams, of Blacksburg; four daughters, Teresa Renee Childers, Cathy Annette Willis, Carnita Yvonne Wilson, and Terri Lynn Morris, all of Blacksburg; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael Cord Williams, and a daughter, Savannah Carolyn Robb. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 11th, 2011, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12th, at 2:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Larry Willis, Ronald Lancaster, Allen Lancaster, Tommy Childers, Robert Williams, and Randy Wade, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
