Gaffney -- Reuben Morgan Mathis, 13, of 124 Beltline Rd Lot 28, passed away Saturday, March 21st, 2020, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the John Mathis Jr. of the home and Sierra Morgan of Gaffney. Reuben was a 7th grade student at Ewing Junior High School and an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and Denver Broncos. Surviving Mr. Mathis are two brothers, Junias Morgan and Jarius Lindsay; a sister, Quadasia Armstrong; and his grandparents, Odell and Paulette Mathis and Eddie and Florence Morgan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25th, 2020, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, 207 First Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gregg Martin, Jimmy Atkins, and Celinda Lindsay officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
