Gaffney -- Riker Travis Pennington, 34, of 460 Carson Drive, passed away Monday, March 7th, 2016, at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Scarlet Pennington and the son of William Pennington and the late Rita Pennington. Mr. Pennington worked as a Landscaper. In addition to his wife, Mr. Pennington is survived by two sons, Christopher and Austin Pennington, of the home; two daughters, Lauren Pennington and Breanna Pennington; and one brother, Rocky Pennington, of Gaffney and an adopted brother, Ray Hammett of Gaffney. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11th, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Freddy Sprouse officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Stan Barneycastle, Todd Cody, Chris Cody, Freddy Sprouse, and Miguel Cook will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Samantha Barneycastle. The family will be at the residence.
