Blacksburg -- Ronny K. Martin, 62, of 155 McDaniel Road, Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, March 27th, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Martin was the son of the late Jack Martin and the late Ollie M. Martin. He was a veteran of the US Army, retired from Robert Hammett Construction, and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church . Mr. Martin is survived by his twin brother Donny R. Martin of the home and brothers, James E. Martin of Kings Mountain, NC, Doyle Martin (Pat) of Blacksburg, and Hayes Martin of Gaffney; 2 sisters, Inez M. McCraw (Kenneth) of Blacksburg and Modenia M. Bolton (Don) of Union, SC; a sister-in-law, Janette Martin and a brother-in-law, Delmar Horne of Gaffney, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Three special aunts, Lillian Walker of Blacksburg, Ruth Earls of Blacksburg, and Ted McDaniel of Rock Hill, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty M. Horne, and brothers Harold, Herbert, and Roger Martin. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 29, at 4:00 at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 511 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC, with Rev. Terry Lowe officiating. Family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
