Selma Hambright

Blacksburg -- Selma Kathleen (Kat) Martin Hambright, 86, of 407 Hardin Street, passed away Friday, March 6th, 2015, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Robert "Junebug" Hambright and the daughter of the late Edward Martin and Victoria Martin. Mrs. Hambright retired as a Spinner and was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church. Mrs. Hambright is survived by 3 sons, Jerry Dean Martin, Leonard Martin, and Buddy Wayne Hambright, all of Blacksburg; two daughters, Linda Dianne Hodge of Blacksburg and Kimberly Ann Duckett of Gaffney; one brother, Dewey Martin of Blacksburg; two sisters, Jean Martin of Blacksburg and Isabell Redman of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Hambright, and two brothers, JP Martin and Ray Martin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8th, 2015, from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at Gordon Mortuary Chapel at 4:00 pm with Rev. Jamie Billings officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
