Blacksburg -- Sheila Diane Hambright Dagnall, 69, of 360 Shaman Road, passed away tragically on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late David Chesley and Elizabeth Mae Rippy Hambright. Mrs. Dagnall retired from textiles and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she was able to raise most of them. Surviving Mrs. Dagnall are two daughters, Robin Benton of the home and Melissa Johnson of Blacksburg; one sister, Karen Welchel and husband, Gordon, of Rock Hill; six grandchildren, Amber Mosley of Gastonia, Ashley Simmons and husband, Todd, of Blacksburg, Peyton Benton of Gaffney, Skyler Benton, Kimberly Jones, and Michael Jones, all of the home; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden Mosley and Jack Simmons. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dagnall was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Nicholas Gage Benton and Austin Isaiah Mosley. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28th, 2017, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Gordon Welchel, Skyler Benton, David Jones, Todd Simmons, Shannon Mosley, and Eddie McDaniel will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Ashley Simmons, 105 Lyman Drive, Blacksburg. The family will also at the home of her son-in-law, Charles Benton, 510 11th Street, Gaffney.
