Gaffney -- Steve Arnold Nelms, 54, of Hamrick Street, passed away Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 at Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, Mr. Nelms was the son of the late Homer Clinton Nelms and Dorothy Marlene Peterson Nichols. He worked as a construction laborer and was of Baptist faith. Mr. Nelms is survived by a brother, Roger Nelms and wife, Kathy, of Blacksburg and a sister, Freda Workman and spouse, Buddy, of Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, February 4th, 2011 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5th, at 11:00am at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
