Blacksburg -- Tommy Edward Patterson, 63, of 225 Hickory Hollow Road, passed away March 18th, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Marshall David Patterson and Viola "Boots" Bolin Patterson. Mr. Patterson retired as a truck driver and was a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church. Surviving Mr. Patterson is one daughter, Michelle Martin, of the home; one son, Larry Patterson, of Blacksburg; a sister, Margaret Owen, of Blacksburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Patterson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20th, 2014, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 21st, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Clingman Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating.
