Blacksburg -- Violet Barnette Moss, 66, of 520 Bridges Rd, passed away Friday, January 27th, 2017, at the Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of Lucille Wallace Barnette and the late Robert Barnette. Mrs. Moss retired as a medical technician and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Moss is survived by a son, Robert Chadwick Moss and wife, Katy, of the home; her aunt Betty Jo Rogers and husband, Leabron, of Blacksburg; and her cousin Tina Chastain and husband, Randy, of Walhalla. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 29th, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Harold Johnson, Rev. Dale Welch, and Dr. Bruce Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Chase Cobb, Jordan Cobb, Scott Lawhorn, Joe Belcher II, Derrick Smith, and Josh Batchler will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence.
