Wade Bright

Blacksburg -- Wade Hampton Bright, Jr., 75, of 104 Brull Street, Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, May 12th, 2013 at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC. Born in Blacksburg, Mr. Bright was the husband of Linda Stringfellow Bright of the home and the son of the late Wade Hampton Bright, Sr. and Polly Horn Bright. He worked as a cabinet maker for Don Nevens Cabinets in Charlotte, NC and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bright is survived by two daughters, Sandra Lynn Tessnear of Spartanburg and Lori Jeanine Gunn of Blacksburg; one sister, Mable Bright Johnson of Spartanburg; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Emily Bright Davis and Kelly Bright Hollifield; and one brother, Darrell Sarratt. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 15th, at 3:30pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
