Webb Ridley

Clover -- Webb Harold Ridley, 88, of 908 South Main Street, passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 at Agape Senior Rehabilitation. Born in Walhalla, Mr. Ridley was the son of the late Reuben and Pearl Honea Ridley. Mr. Ridley was a veteran of the United States Army, was a member of the Civilian Conservation Camp for more than 60 years, he worked as a grocery store manager, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Ridley is a son, John Ridley and wife, Peggy, of Bremen, GA; a daughter, Jewel Foster and husband, Roy, of Seneca; 4 grandchildren, Debbie McCall of Salem, SC, Dewayne Pelfrey of Seneca, Brian Ridley of Harrison, TN, Jonathan Ridley of Tokyo, Japan; 8 great-grandchildren, Anna Gipson, Brooke McCall, Christina, Alex, Samantha, and Elliott Pelfrey, and Molly and Sarah Ridley; 2 great-great grandchildren, Conner and Nathan Gipson; and a special friend, Helen Bratton of Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Sunday afternoon at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 3 at Heritage Memorial Gardens in Westminster, SC, with Rev. David Hammer officiating.
