William Dover

Blacksburg -- William Carl Dover, 65, of 198 Hardin Trail, passed away Friday, June 1st, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Robert Ervin Dover and Thema Walker Dover. Mr. Dover worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. Dover is survived by his fiance, Debbie Jones; two daughters, Billie Jo Dison and Heather Cobb; four sisters, Margaret Smith, Linda Dover, Cathy Lipsey, and Jackie Patterson; and four grandchildren, Dynah and Dalton Dison and Haley and Emily Cobb. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Calvin Dover and Ronnie Eugene Dover. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 3nd, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Church, 615 Peeler Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702 with Rev. Chad Ramsey, Rev. Willie Lanier, and Rev. Tommy Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery. Kevin Lipsey, Michael Kosmos, James Orr, Roger Lanier, Lee Patterson, and Robert Patterson will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence.
