Yeatch Pennington Obituary

Gaffney -- Yeatch C. Pennington, 77, of 510 Thompson Street, formerly of 405 Hardin Street in Blacksburg, passed away November 23rd, 2010 at Brookview Healthcare Center. Born in Blacksburg, Mr. Pennington was the son of the late Lloyd Samson and Lizzie Painter Pennington. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Tabernacle of Love. Mr. Pennington is survived by two sons, Roger Dale Penninton and wife, Becky, of Gaffney and Joe Dean Pennington and wife, Carol, of Blacksburg; a brother, Herman Pennington of Walhalla; two sisters, Hazel P. Cole of Blacksburg and Sadie Pennington Ledbetter of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren, Joe Dean Pennington Jr. of Blacksburg, Todd Pennington of Gaffney, and Nancy White of Gaffney; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pennington was preceded in death by three brothers, Nathaniel Roy Pennington, I.V. Pennington, and Troy Pennington; three sisters, Juanita Woodruff, Rena Hambright, and Jeanette McDaniel; and his first wife, Novella Moss Pennington. The family will receive friends Friday, November 26th, 2010 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27th, at 2:00pm at Tabernacle of Love with Rev. Harold Dean Painter and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Joe Pennington's residence, 426 Blue Bird Lane, Blacksburg, or at Roger Pennington's residence, 141 Arlington Avenue, Gaffney.
