Mr. Charles Deshaundre “Dre” Austin, 29, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his residence. He was a son of Gerald Lavoy Pickens and the late Lisa Renee Austin Williams. He was employed at BMW and attended New Zion FBH Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Minister Callie Pickens; and his maternal grandfather, Johnny Austin. Surviving: a daughter, Jaylah Austin of Piedmont; his father, Gerald L. (Phyllis) Pickens of Greenville; step-father, Stephen Williams; two sisters, Jasmine (Chris) Towsend, and Jamiah Pickens; three brothers, John Austin, C.J. Sherman, and Christopher (Tamatha) Young, all of Greenville; his maternal grandmother, Betty Austin of Greenville; his paternal grandfather, Jerry (Ellie) Pickens of Greenville; a longtime friend, Kenya Edmond; two aunts, Carolyn Wright and Shannon Pickens, both of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
