Mrs. Theresa Elizabeth “Peaches” Valentine, 61, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at her home. She was a daughter of the late J.D. Washington and Bruce V. Williams Washington. She was a 1974 graduate of J.L. Mann High School and was employed at Greenville Health System for over thirty years in the Accounting Department. “Peaches” was a member of the Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was the past President of the Classy Ladies Social Club, and formerly played softball as a short stop. She loved plants and was an excellent cook, she liked going to bike rally's and her favorite football team was the Carolina Panthers. She was preceded in death by her, sister, Doris Ford and her brother, J.D. Washington, Jr. Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her husband, Dennis Valentine of Greenville; two daughters, Denise (Bernard) Nelson of Greenville and Patrice Valentine of Easley; a stepdaughter, Zamauri Canty of Greenville; three sisters, Sheila Washington, Vanessa Ford and Eddie Wilson, all of Greenville; two brothers, John (Linda) Prince of Greenville and Bowman (Emma) Washington of Pelzer; four grandchildren, Breana Nelson, Jamar Nelson, KeAundra Valentine Irby and Kiara Valentine; two great-grandchildren, Aubree Rogers and Kendal Harkness; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
