Carol Mae Pearson-Coaxum was born on January 25, 1969 in Florence County, SC she was the daughter of the late L .J. Dickson and Rosa Lee Jackson. Carol departed this earthly life on Saturday February 23, 2019. McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC

Carol was educated in the Darlington County, SC Public school system she was a 1987 graduated of Lamar High School, Lamar, SC.

She was formerly employed with Delta Mills of Pamplico, SC. Carol was a Faithful and dedicated member of Pentecostal United Church of Christ Apostolic, Inc., in Florence, SC where she was a member of the Mass & Gospel Choir, and a cofounder of the Gospel Messengers. Carol was also the author of a book entitled the 12 Steps to Surviving Kidney Dialysis. Carol who was known for her beautiful smile love her family as well as her church family.


She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; James Herbert Pearson, Michael and David Pearson, Matthew Jackson, Tony Lee Pearson and a niece Fantasia Jackson.

Left to Cherish her precious memories are her husband of 27 years : Elder Gerald Jerry Coaxum Jr, of the home, four children: Dominique (Chrissy ) Pearson, of Florence, SC Carmelia Pearson (Minister Demetrius) Gee of Spartanburg, SC Geralresha Coaxum of Florence, SC Alexandria Coaxum of the home, five siblings; Barbara Rivers, of Pamplico, SC; Roosevelt ( Trice ) Pearson, Fanando ( Vernessa ) Jackson, Larry Jackson, Edwin Star all of Timmonsville, SC a longtime friend Evangelist Traci Williamson of Timmonsville, SC seven grandchildren a host of nieces ,nephews and relatives and friends
