Mrs. Emelda A. Banegas, passed away peacefully at her home on October 18, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Francisco Banegas, her children Francisco Banegas Jr., Patricia Banegas, Christian Banegas, Francis Matthews and Esther Banegas, as well as 10 grandchildren and one great grandchildren. Emelda Banegas was born and raised in Puerto Cortes, Honduras as one of 13 children. She immigrated to the United States in 2008 and located to South Carolina in 2016. She was a devout Christian and a loving wife and mother. Her humility and her love of God and family will forever serve as an inspiration to those who knew her. Her family is eternally grateful for the devoted staff of Hospice & Palliative Care for the tremendous support they provided Emelda and her family during the last months of her life, and in lieu of flowers, ask that any donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Palmetto Region, 1057 Red Ventures Drive, Suite 150, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
