Scott Rhome Rock Hill, South Carolina Obituary

Scott Rhome

Scott Edward Rhome, 63, of Rock Hill passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at home. Mr. Rhome was born on March 22, 1956 in Berea, Ohio to Ann Rhome. He loved many things: soulful blues music, driving and restoring classic cars, trips to the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina, his dogs, his wife’s baking, and, most of all, his wife, kids, and family. He met his wife, Sharon Bates Rhome, on a blind date when they were 16 years old. They recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. They had two children, Ryan Rhome (Keegan) of Indianapolis, IN, Sara Rhome (Will) of Charleston, SC. His immediate family included his mother Ann Balog of Litchfield, OH, one brother Dale Rhome (Lynn) of North Homestead, OH, two sisters Gayle Caro (Berny) of Courtland, OH and Marci Feldt (Rich) of Cleveland, OH. He was very close with his brothers-in-law, Frank (Sandi), Mike (Terri), and Chris (Pauline). Preceding him in death were his mother- and father-in-law, Virginia and Arthur Bates, and his sister-in-law, Brenda. Also surviving are his two fur babies Andy and Ellie, and three grand-pups. The family held a private Celebration of Life Service at their house with a large crowd of friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to these charities that Scott was passionate about: https://www.curohealthservices.com/donate https://richardsonrescue.org https://www.lbda.org/donate Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and Cremation Service is proudly serving the Rhome family.
