Joseph B. “Bennie” Burke, III, 66, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at NHC Parklane in Columbia.
Born September 25, 1950, in Sumter, he was a son of Elizabeth Burke Watts and the late Joseph B. Burke, Jr. He retired from Ag First Farm Credit after more than 20 years of service and was the owner of Innovative Media Solutions. He was a Mason and a Shriner and member of the Grand Lodge AFM of South Carolina.
Survivors include his mother of Summerton; two sons, Joseph B. “Joe” Burke, IV (Fernanda) of Indian Land, SC and Christopher M. “Chris” Burke (Amy) of Liberty, SC; five grandchildren, Joseph B. “Quint” Burke, V, Wyatt Burke, Silas Burke, Clara Burke, and Jasper Burke; and four brothers, Robbie Burke, Jimmy Burke, Dannie Burke, and Michael Burke.
A graveside service with masonic rites will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Josie Holler officiating.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Burke, Jimmy Burke, Dannie Burke, Michael Burke, Jeb Burke, and David Burke.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
