Kenneth Lee Nesbitt, Jr., 32, passed away at home Friday, Oct. 20th, 2017.
Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of Kenneth Lee Nesbitt, Sr. and Norma Teresa Lyles. Kenneth received a Masters degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and was pursuing a doctoral degree in Computer Engineering at the University of South Carolina Columbia.
Kenneth is survived by his parents of Sumter; brother, Andrew Clifton Nesbitt of Columbia, SC; paternal grandmother, Linda Elmore Nesbitt of Bishopville, SC; uncle, Randall Olin Nesbitt of Bishopville, SC; aunts, Linda Lyles Danielson of Columbia, SC, Lynn Lyles Wallace (Rufus) of York, SC, Libby Lyles of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Connie Lyles Warren (Ricky) of Conway, SC.
Kenneth possessed a love of animals, particularly the abused and neglected, and was always in the company of his faithful dog, Bronson.
Kenneth was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Clifton ”Bill” Lyles, paternal grandfather Robert Lee Nesbitt, and an uncle, Richard Danielson.
A private memorial service will be held.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Elmore Cannon Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road, Sumter, SC. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his father and at the home of his mother.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
