Kimberly Campbell Obituary

Kimberly Bedell Campbell passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. Kimberly was born in Fairfax County, VA. and lived in Kingsport most of her life. She graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Northeast State Community College. She worked as a CAD operator for various groups contracted through Eastman the latest being Ford, Bacon and Davis LLC. Kim enjoyed attending and participating in various AKC dog shows as well as various jeep functions. She loved taking care of her flowers and enjoyed other crafting activities. Kim also loved antiquing and she was a great baker and loved making cookies, cakes and fudge for others. Every year she and her daughter Amanda went on a white water rafting trip for Kim’s birthday. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who will always be cherished. Kimberly had a great love for her dogs. Kim was preceded in death by her father John Bedell and her grandmothers Sarah Elizabeth Via and Margaret Anne George Bedell. She is the loving mother of Amanda Elizabeth Durham and a loving companion to Chris Webb. Kimberly is also survived by her mother Joan Bedell her grandmother Stella Bedell her sisters Kathie Lyons and husband Jim and Karolyn Thacker and husband Daryl. Nieces and Nephews Nikkei Lyons, John Lyons and Klay Thacker The family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the East Tennessee Funeral Home, 2630 Hwy 75 Blountville, TN 37617 with a service to follow. Kimberly will then be laid to rest in the Garden of Solomon at East Tennessee Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Dan Harris, Terry Kirk, Mike Strickler, Jim Lyons, John Lyons, Klay Thacker and Daryl Thacker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Stanley, Rod Collins and Todd Hampton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Cancer Center 2202 John B. Dennis Highway Kingsport, TN 37660. The family would like to express special thanks to Barbara Pena-Carter and Kim’s co-workers and friends for all of their love and support during these difficult times.
