Vickie Cox, 73 went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in Clarksville, TN. And a resident of Johnson City, TN. most of her life. Vickie was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. She became an honorary member of Gospel Lighthouse in Church Hill, TN. Vickie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; Carl & Margerie Taylor, brothers; Ricky, Mike, Sammy and Gary Taylor. She is survived by her husband of twenty two years; Tom Cox, one daughter; Kathy Benton (Randall), three sons; Jeff Henley (Tracy), Alan Cox, Wayne Cox (Beverly), sister; Diane Taylor, brothers; Larry, Greg, and Ronnie Taylor, seven grandchildren; Trevor Henley, Justin Henley, Randall Cox ( Ashley), Joseph Cox, Erika Cox, Ashleigh Benton and Whitney Benton, four great-grandchildren; Carter, Aiden, Riley, Madelyn and several nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family will have a private graveside service Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm. with Pastor David Morelock officiating. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers you can make memorial contributions to The Alzheimer’s Association 2020 Meadowview Pkwy. Ste. 100 Kingsport, TN. 37660 or Gospel Lighthouse in Church Hill, TN. East Tennessee Funeral Home and Cemetery is honored to serve the family of Vickie Cox.
