Austin Laurin Edmondson

Austin Laurin Edmondson, age 73, of Salem Community passed away July 3, 2017. A Celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Stephen Sauls officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Austin was born on May 11, 1944, in Montgomery Co., the son of the late Laurin Lane Edmondson and Anna Minor Edmondson. Austin graduated from Montgomery Central High School in 1962 and attended Austin Peay State University. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, enjoyed visiting and talking with friends, gardening and sharing, and planting special varieties of trees. Prior to becoming a truck driver, Austin worked at Frosty Morn Co. and was in the U.S. Army Reserve. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Edmondson and nephew Joe Thomas Jones. Survivors include sisters, Betty Jane Jones (Tom) and Linda Cross (Dennis); nephews, Jerry Jones (Davida), Jeffery Alan Mullins (Julianne), Jon David Cross (Becky), Jeffery Todd Cross; great nieces and nephews: Savannah and Jackson Jones; Taylor, Addison, and Sidney Mullins; Justin and Jason Cross; Kaia, Chase, and Nicholas Cross.
