Jewel K. Holt, 88, Adams, passed away, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Shepard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. Jewel was born October 1, 1924 in Robertson Co., TN, daughter of Samuel and Frances Morris Shepard. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving family which includes her sons, Frank Holt and wife Joyce and Cliff Holt and wife Melinda; daughter Effie Pardon and husband Jack; grandchildren, Tom Redfern, Clint Redfern, Frank Holt, Jr., Winston Holt, Mitchel Hodge, Megan Cole, and Angie Groves; and great grandchildren, Ashley Redfern, Carleigh Groves, Emma Hodge, Anthony Holt, and Austin Holt. Pallbearers will be Joe Groves, Brad Holt, C.L. Holt, Frank Holt, Jr., Steve Murff, and Darry Winfree. Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, (931)647-3371.
