Pauline Jamison

Pauline Harris Jamison, 93, Westmoreland, died Friday, March 27,2009, at Westmoreland Health Care. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Erin Church Of The Nazarene with Rev. Kyle Poole officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. She was born November 13, 1915 near Erin, Tn. and was the daughter of the late J.L. Harris and Bessie McNichols Harris, Pauline attended schools in Houston County and graduated from Houston County High School. She and 3 of her sisters, Opha, Carmel, and Irene, traveled thoughout the Eastern United States and Canada singing for evangelistic campaigns during her teen years. She married Rev.J.L.Jamison and moved to Pavo, Georgia. She supported her husband's ministry in the Church of the Nazarene in Pavo, Manchester, Cairo, Thomaston and Nashville, Georgia. After Rev. Jamison's death she returned to the Manchester, Georgia area. Later health concerns caused her to return to Tennessee to be near her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Rev. J.L. Jamison; her parents, J.L. Harris and Bessie Harris; brothers, David Harris, Comer Harris, Raymond Harris and John Wesley Harris; and by her sisters, Virginia Bjorling, Opha Robinson, Carmel Powell and Opel Kessler. She is survived by her sisters, Irene Rocos and Evon Samuelson of Tennessee Ridge, Tn., Erma Carson of Cumberland City, Tn.; her brother, Russell Harris of Tennessee Ridge, Tn.; her daughter, Sylvia (Frank) Ruckman of Westmoreland,Tn. her sons, Harris Jamison of Palm Springs,CA and John (Lillian) Jamison of Hobe Sound, FL.; seven grandchildren, Barbara Lynne Jamison, Laura Beth Jamison, Franklin (Stephanie) Ruckman Jr, John (Kreslyn) Ruckman, Amy (Josh)Curell, Charlie (Morgan)Jamison, and Emily Jamison; She is also survived by Thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will serve as pallbearers.
