Billie Hunter, age 86 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County in Algood, Tennessee. She was born August 4, 1931 in Willow Grove, Tennessee to the late Ed and Iva (Spears) Wright. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. She loved working in the public her entire adult life. She was an amazing dancer and loved teaching dance. To know her was to be drawn into her contagious laughter and love of life. Billie is survived by: 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Gail Hunter and B R Smith of Chattanooga, TN 1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Kenny and Sandra Hunter of Cookeville, TN 3 Granddaughters and Spouses: Sharon and Jimmy Pippin of Cookeville, TN Crystal Hunter of Nashville, TN Fonna and Tim Geesling of Hilham, TN 4 Great Granddaughters 4 Great Great Granddaughters 1 Special Cousin: Bobby Sherfield of Cookeville, TN In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband: Ken Hunter,1 Brother, Gawain Wright. Funeral Services for Billie will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 beginning at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm, and again Friday, October 13, from 12:00 noon until time of service.
