Drenda Mae (Apple) Baxter, age 89 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County in Algood. She was born Tuesday, August 23, 1927 in Jackson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ridley Wayne and Bettie (Carter) Apple. Ms. Baxter is survived by: 1 Sister: Sylvia Gambrell 4 Brothers: Lewis, Carl, Ted, and Buford Apple. 5 Stepchildren: Donald, Dennis, Douglas, Dwight and Dianne In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband: Donald Baxter, 1 Brother, Joe Apple, and 1 Sister, Mary Jane Schmidt. Funeral service for Ms. Baxter will be held, Friday, January 13, 2017 beginning at 10:00 am Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Moore and Pastor Kevin Freize officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 12, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
