Mr. Mickey Roy Dotson, Sr., 62 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life in the comfort of his family's home surrounded by many loved ones and friends on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Mickey was born Sunday, July 17, 1955 in laeger, West Virginia and he was the son of Gladys (Allen) Dotson-Hunt and the late George Dotson. Mickey was a very simple man whom everyone he met instantly loved him. He spent most of his time in the company of his grandchildren, children, and on his back porch in his favorite recliner. Mickey loved fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. He worked for over 20 years doing sheet metal for Union Local 265 in Chicago, Illinois. Mickey moved to Tennessee in 2015 to finish out his life with his children and grandchildren. Mickey is survived by: Loving Children: Mickey Jr, Jeremiah, Nicole, Brooke, Tammy, Angel, Heather, and Christopher. 5 Brothers: Ronnie, Darrell, Bobby, George, and Johnny. 2 Sisters: Brenda, and Gaynell. Beloved Grandchildren: Brayden, Mickey III, Nicholas, Caleb, Jordan, Kaden, MaKenzie, Caileigh, Faith, Zachary, and Logan In addition to his father, Mickey was preceded in death by: Brother, Ralph and Niece, Deborah Celebration of Life for Mickey Roy Dotson will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
