Betty Lou Bennett, age 73, Erwin, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Center on Aging and Health. She was a life long resident of Erwin and a daughter of the late Clyde and Maude Brackins Hardin. Betty was formerly employed by Red Cap Industries and worked as a CNA for Erwin Health Care. She attended Hulen Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Anthony Bennett on September 22, 2006; two brothers: Glen Hardin and J. B. Hardin. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons: Gary Bennett and wife, Misty, Unicoi, David Bennett and wife, Kristy, Johnson City; two brothers: Fred Hardin, Erwin and Warren Hardin, Flag Pond; one sister, Lois Peterson and husband, Jonas, of Pennsylvania; two grandsons: Copeland Bennett and Kody Baucom; two granddaughters: Laykin Bennett and Mattison Bennett; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will have a private graveside service in the Haun and White Cemetery. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate.
