I. Ruth Parham

Ila Ruth Parham, age 78, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed peacefully in her sleep at home Saturday, January 6, 2018. Ruth was known by many names and was proud to be called Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mama, Nana, Aunt, and a Christian. Ruth was born in Sparta, Tennessee, on January 11, 1939, daughter of Joe and Esther Murdock. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James H. Murdock. Survivors include husband, Gerald E. Parham, Sr.; brother, Joe W. (Pam) Murdock; daughter, Gena (Jackson) Brunger; son, Gerald "Jerry" "Buck" (Dawn) Parham, Jr. Grandchildren include Kevin (Crae) Brunger, Jonathan (Jenni) Brunger, Erin (Geof) Thayer, Zachariah Parham, Isaiah Parham, Davy Kotsch, Daniel (Megan) Kotsch, and Dillon (Loren) Kotsch. Great-grandchildren include Gemma & Fiona Brunger; Finley & Eric Brunger; Simon & Soraya Thayer; Mia, Brennen & Kye Kotsch; Kinley & Brice Kotsch; and Lily & Dawson Kotsch. She also leaves behind her loving church family that was very dear to her heart at Leiper’s Fork church of Christ. The family will receive visitors at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10 from 5:00-9:00pm and again Thursday, January 11 from 10:00am–12:00pm with the funeral service at 12:00pm. Johnny Webb will officiate the service, and internment will be at the Greenbrier Cemetery.
