Loretta Ann O’Neil, age 90 of Franklin, TN, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away March 2, 2019 just ten days shy of her 91st birthday. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Linus & Genevieve Donahue. Loretta was a loving, sweet, nurturing and gentle woman who cherished and dedicated her entire life to her family and embraced her Catholic faith. You rarely saw Loretta without a smile on her beautiful face. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, John J. “Jack” O’Neil who passed away in 2006; sisters, Dolly (Larry) Schnurr, Denie (Sam) Aiken and Bertie (Ed) Bates. Survived by her children, Loretta Ann (Frank) Kuss, John Daniel (Gloria) O’Neil, Michael (Diane) O’Neil, Timothy (Caryl) O’Neil and Kathleen O’Neil; grandchildren, Daniel O’Neil, Matthew O’Neil, Jane Albig, Timothy B. O’Neil, Sean O’Neil, Kelly Gee and Ryan Decker; great-grandchildren, Logan, Livia, Jack, Vivian, Edith and Aria; brothers, Linus (Sharon) Donahue, Jr. and Gerard Donahue. A Funeral Mass at St. Sylvester’s Church in Brentwood, PA will be held at a future date. Loretta will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband, who served as a Paratrooper in WWII. Loretta will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
