Mildred R. Skidmore, 98 of Knoxville, formerly of Loudon, passed away Sunday Morning April 16, 2017 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Dora Schaeffer Porter; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Freda Sharp; sister, Helena Schupp; grandchildren, Henry Bright III, Connie Johnston, Scott Johnston, Eddie Johnston, Howard Johnston, Shirley Brakebill, and David Brakebill; great-grandchildren, Destiny Johnston, Tiffany Johnston, Amber Johnston, Ashley Johnston, April Brakebill, Amanda Bright, Henry Bright IV, Dovie Bright, Luke Bright, and Mitchell Bright; several great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Thursday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Russell officiating. Interment to follow in Union Fork Creek Cemetery.
