Mr. James Alvin (Dood) Russell-age 58 of Sharps Chapel passed away suddenly Sunday evening, October 26, 2014. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents: James and Nell (Clark) Russell; brother: Larry Russell. Survived by son: Eric Russell and wife Amanda; former wife: Susan Walker Russell; granddaughters: Sarah and Savannah; brother: Bobby Russell and wife: Debbie and daughters. Funeral services 8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jason Walker, Rev. Jerry Savage officiating. Music by The Betterway Singers. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, Stiner Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Family and friends are asked to meet 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
