Rev. Larry Cooper Obituary

Reverend Larry E. Cooper – of Maynardville, was born on February 25, 1951 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 26, 2017, surrounded by his wife and children. His devotion to his family and church and his faith in God strengthened him during his battle with cancer. Having been pastor of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church since 1995 he has spent many years ministering to his family, church members and the community. As an employee of Clayton Homes for 39 years, his Christian influence was unparalleled. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; Ralph E. and Shirley L. (Sharp) Cooper; daughter, Mary A. Cox; father-in-law, Boyd Brewer; nephews, Billy Joe Turner and Joshua Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alma (Brewer) Cooper; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa D. and Jim Bays; sons, Ralph E. and Evan Cooper; grandchildren, Carli M. Gibson, Phillip J., Caedan J. and Felicia D. Cooper, Cierra L. and Olivia F. Wynn, Joshua Q. (Cooper) Brown, Nikki and Abby Cox and Preston Bays; brothers, Michael (Teresa) Cooper, Doug (Cathy) Cooper and Jeff (Pat) Cooper. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Robin Ryder and Reverend Paris Woods officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church to go in procession to Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. interment service.
