Robert Lee Musick, age 62, Unicoi, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Unicoi County Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and son of the late Bascom and Dorothy Tolley Musick. Robert retired from Highvalley Construction where he was employed as a Millwright. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and family man. Robert was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Megan Lee Musick; one brother, Danny Lee Musick and one sister, Tammy Musick Vanhoy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of thirty-four years, Shirley Honeycutt Musick; one daughter, Amy Musick, of the home; one granddaughter, Riley Briggs; five sisters: Betty Byrd (Charles), Penny Sells (Johnny), Judy Harrell (J.M.), all of Jonesborough, Rosalie Hughes (Willard), Johnson City and Pamela English, Bakersville, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Wayne Pruitt will officiate at the 2:00 P.M. funeral service. Pallbearers will be Tim Byrd, Christopher Runion, Jeffery Dawn, Johnny Sells, Toby Hughes and Jody Hughes. Interment will follow in the Honeycutt Cemetery.
