Mr. Jerry Lee Quinton, 71, of the Clayton community died Monday, February 24, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Zach Ward, Nathan Ward, Josh Quinton, Timmy Quinton, Bobby Whitby and Keith McQueen.
Mr. Quinton was born March 28, 1942, in Dyersburg, son of the late Gurley Leroy and Ruby Frances (Lawrence) Quinton. He married Sharon (Hinchley) Quinton July 6, 1961. She survives. Mr. Quinton
retired after 30 years of services as an inspector for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Billy Ward; and two sons, Marty Quinton and Michael Quinton all of the Clayton community; two granddaughters, Lauren Hayes of Nashville and her fiance, Capt. Sean Grindlay of Valdosta, Georgia and Kristen Parks and her husband Ron Parks of the Crystal community; and three grandsons, Zach Ward and his wife Jessica Ward of the Fremont community, Nathan Ward of Martin and Josh Quinton of the Clayton community.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Patrick.
