Jimmy Ray Perez, 50 went to his heavenly home on Friday, July 3, 2020 at his home in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17,2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at North's Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. The Funeral Service is Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10am, at Rise Church in Abilene Texas, burial to follow at Elliott-Hamil, Highway 277. Jimmy was born in Brady, Texas, the son of Juan Villarreal Perez and Gregoria "Goya" (Rodriguez) Perez. Jimmy graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas. He will always be remembered as the bbq master. He enjoyed grilling, playing bingo, cracking open a cold one. Jimmy is survived by one son, Natthen Hensel and two daughters, Marnnie Shaw, Mercedes Cody and husband Preston Cody of Abilene, Texas. His loving girlfriend, Marti Avila. Three brothers, Juan G Perez, of San Angelo, Rudolfo Perez, and Manuel Perez, of Abilene, Texas. Two sisters, Celia Ewing of Brady, Texas and Delores Miller of Waco, Texas and his eight granddaughters and six grandsons. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, sister, aunt, and two uncles. Serving as pallbearers are Natthen Hensel, Preston Cody, Terrel Penns, Raul Dominguez, Rich Villarreal, Joaquin Fuentez, Pete Villarreal and Paul Flores. Services entrusted to North's Funeral Home.
