Alma Martinez Angleton, Texas Obituary

Alma Martinez

Obituary: Alma Isabell Martinez-White Alma Isabell Martinez-White of Danbury died October 5, 2017 in her hometown of Danbury, Texas. She was born December 3, 1982 at Angleton-Danbury Hospital in Angleton Texas to Jorge and Ana Mercado-Martinez. Her mother’s fondest memories of Alma as a baby were the big smile she had on her face every morning when she woke each day. Her father’s fond memories of Alma jumping either on him or over him wrestling around. Pre-school life in the city of Baytown with her little brother Thomas who would not close his eyes at naptime until he saw that she had closed her eyes first. The director of pre-school would always position their little nap beds facing each other because it always made Thomas feel better that he was always close to his sister. Her open, funny and friendly personality was the foundation for all her friendships she made throughout her life. At age 7years the family moved to Danbury where Alma attended school until her Junior year in Highschool. Acquiring her GED thereafter. This was home base surrounded by her close-knit family of her Mercado grandparents, aunts, uncles and all her cousins. Countless memories of holidays and birthday parties at the little green house on Ave- D. Her greatest joy in life were her children beginning with her son Brendon Joseph and from her marriage to Arthur Clark White she had two beautiful daughters. Madeline Deegan (after Brian Deegan Pro Moto Cross rider) and Megan Isabell (Isabell after her Grandmother Ana and her Mother’s middle name). Moving forward brought her into the loving arms of the man she often referred to as my “Gentle Giant” or who Thomas and I always preferred the “Vossinator” Jeremy Voss of Danbury. He accepted and loved Alma’s children as they were his own with a continued outpouring of love and generosity. Her love forever will be Jeremy. Her brother wanted me to go on and on about how wonderful her little brother was but I didn’t want to bore everyone..Lol.. but I digress. My beautiful daughter is survived by her Mother Ana Isabell Mercado, brother Thomas E. Martinez, Son Brendon Joseph Martinez-Garcia, Daughters Madeline Deegan and Megan Isabell White, Father Jose Jorge Martinez, stepmother Cheryl Martinez, stepsister Ashlyn Martinez, nephew Liam Woods, Grandmother Ana Maria Mercado and Grandfather Domingo Martinez. Funeral Services are being directed by Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Pallbearers: Thomas E. Martinez, Vanessa Gardner, Marissa Mainez, Adam Solis, Joel Martinez and Amy Stahl. Honorary Pallbearer : Marta Stahl & Whitney Stahl
