Janet Henley

Janet Agnes Henley, entered the gates of Heaven surrounded by her loving family at her side at the age of 86. She was born in Freeport, Texas on March 26, 1931 to Estellina Breaux Landry & Taylor Joseph Landry. Janet graduated from Freeport High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, James Locker Henley on September 21, 1951. Janet was an employee of Southwestern Bell before she followed her husband as his employment took him to Bay City, Texas and Chanute, Kansas then residing in Angleton, Texas for the past 41 years. Janet loved her family and many friends dearly, dancing, country music, her cats and trips to the beach. Janet is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, James Locker Henley, her two sons and their wives, Michael & Margie Henley and Mitchell & Leslie Henley; four grandchildren and spouses, Bridgett & AJ Honeycutt, Laura & Rey Chavana, Amanda & Luiz Martinez and Ryan & Chelsea Henley; six great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-laws and one sister-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and a host of loving friends. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lucille Broussard and Doris George, her mother and father-in-law, Inez and James D. Henley and brother-in-law, Robert Henley. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Palms. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity
