Joyce Marie Roach Joyce Marie Roach, 87, of Angleton Texas, left this earth to meet her Lord and Savior and rejoin with her husband Henry Roach in her heavenly home on March 30th 2017. Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Joyce was born in Goosecreek Texas to the late Thomas and Vera Roberts on May 20th 1929. She was a woman of many talents, abounding grace, exceptional class and a devout Christian of incredible faith. Holding many council positions and a charter member for Long Pond Baptist Church, Joyce truly walked in the light of the Lord and lived to tell of God’s love. She was the church pianist for over 20 years as well as enjoyed singing and had many solos. For many years, she taught the Women’s Sunday School and found much joy having fellowship with her sisters in Christ. She witnessed to all, always offering a kind embrace and truly lived for God according to his word. Joyce adored the outdoors, loved fishing and camping, and was an incredible self-taught seamstress. She owned two successful business, enjoyed gardening and made the best candied yams and peach cobbler ever known to this earth. She loved telling jokes, playing board games, but most of all she loved her family. Joyce was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her sons Lewis and Anita Pullon, Larry and Jenny Pullon, daughter Debra and Ike Travis, grandchildren Patrick Pullon, Robert and Tiffany Pullon, Christopher Pullon, Kristina and Kevin Ledford, Lisa and Joey Delancy, Luke and Jessica Wootton and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents Thomas and Vera Roberts, her husband Henry Roach, her sister Wanda Sandefer and her brother Billy Roberts. Joyce touched the lives of everyone who had the honor to meet her. She will fondly be remembered for her kind smile, infectious laughter, her light, her wisdom and her devout love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Joyce, you are deeply loved and missed. God has you in his keeping, but we keep your memory in our hearts. John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 2nd 2017 from 5--7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 3rd 2017 at 10:00 am at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX with interment to follow at Angleton Cemetery
