In Loving Memory of Margie Lorraine Hurt September 7, 1928 ~ September 26, 2017 Margie Lorraine Hurt, 89, of Angleton, Texas passed away on September 26, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born on September 7, 1928 in Millican, Texas to Albert Walter and Thomas Earlee (Maxwell) Cotharn. Margie was a loving mother and grandmother, she was a great cook and loved to dance with her beloved Truman. She was the ultimate homemaker and never went anywhere without her hair and makeup done. She was a resident of Brazoria County since 1956. Left to cherish her memory is her children; Kerry T. Hurt (wife, Marilyn), James “Toby” Hurt, and Michael Edward Hurt (wife, Pamela), her brother, Seth Cotharn (wife, Joyce), sisters; Linda Cotharn Mikus, and Norma Beth Cotharn Blaylock (husband, Doug) her four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Richard Franklin. Preceding her in death is her husband, James Truman Hurt, her parents; Albert Walter and Thomas Earlee (Maxwell) Cotharn, her daughter, Evelyn Lynette Davis and her sister, Audrey Lucille Cotharn Franklin. Graveside Services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Angleton Cemetery located at 328 Cemetery Road Angleton, Texas 77515. Pastor Jamie Hill will officiate. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation before the graveside service at Palms Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Services lovingly fulfilled by the dedicated staff at Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515 (979) 849-4343.
