Randall Toye

Randall Duane Toye passed from this world on July 18, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. He passed St. Luke Health Brazosport after a long illness. Randall was born July 17, 1934 in Newton Iowa to Thomas “Tom” Charles Toye and Mabel Jones Toye. He grew up in Iowa and worked at Maytag for 3 years before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He was proud to have served 20 years as a pipe fitter before retiring in 1976. In 1986, he worked for TDC3-ID Ramsey III unit before retiring in 1996. On March 22, 1974, Randall married the love of his life Son Soon Rho in Korea. Randall and Sue were blessed with 43 years of marriage of which most was in Angleton. After retirement, Randall was able to travel to Canada to see Sue’s family, fish more, visit friends and volunteer at the American Legion. He believed his most important job after retirement was to take care of his beloved Sue. Family left surviving include Sue, his wife, of Angleton, Terri Toye Telfer, a daughter of Colfax, Iowa, a niece Pam Blackledge of Walker, Louisiana, many nieces and nephews and Sue’s two sisters and brothers in Canada. Preceding Randall in death were Tom and Mabel Toye (parents), Liz and “Bud” Rechtenbach (sister and brother in law), Tom Toye (son). Services will be at the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on July 24 at the Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E HWY 35, Angleton. Memorial contributions can be made to the Houston National Cemetery. A special thank you to the Chauviere, Toslusek and Kotrla families and special friends who supported Sue during this difficult time.
