Wayne Cole Brady, Sr. Wayne Cole Brady, Sr., 71, of Angleton, Texas passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 21, 2014 after a brief illness with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. He was born on June 4, 1942 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Leon and Pauline Brady. Wayne graduated from Auburn University in June of 1964 and moved to Texas to begin his career at Dow Chemical Company. He was a retired chemical engineer of 50 years from Dow Chemical Company and Kelly Services. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:00am, at First Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas with Pastor Rodney Bowman officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service in Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Todd, Weldon Gilliam, Glen Matchett, Thurston Randall, Glenn Ladewig, James Blackstock, Bob Loving, Tom Wilson, Mickey McGaugh, Jim Neely, Kermit Licklider, Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Joe Garcia and Randy Brodie. Wayne is survived by his wife, Sue Brady of over 50 years. Sons, Wayne Cole Brady Jr. of Brazoria, and Ronald Brady and his wife Janie of Riverside, Texas. Daughter, Varenia O’quinn and Christina Todd and husband Danny all of Angleton, Texas. Grandsons, Bryan Cole Brady and wife Lyndsie, Brady O’quinn, and Bryce O’quinn all of Angleton, Texas, James Dial and Josh Dial both of Willis, Texas. Granddaughters, Taylor Brady of Brazoria, Texas, Devanie Brady of Chandler, Arizona, and Chrystal Bankhead of Willis, Texas. Great-grandson, Brayden Cole Brady and Alec Moss both of Angleton, Texas. Brothers, Franklin Brady and Paul Brady both of Alabama, and Steven Brady and wife Lynn of Angleton, Texas. Sister, Faye Gemmill and husband Wayne of Alvin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Pauline Brady. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Angleton, Texas, BACH of Angleton, Texas, and the Arthritis National Research Foundation.
