Gerald "Jerry" Strausser

ARLINGTON -- Gerald Frank Strausser, 76, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 12:30 p.m. Friday in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane C. Jerry was born October 8, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to Frank Jr. and Mary Valant Strausser. He was a graduate of Kenmore High School in Akron. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and never lost his love for airplanes. Jerry enjoyed painting and doing caricatures. He was an employee at Ferriot Brothers in Akron, OH for 15 years. He then went on to work and retire from Texas Instrument. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; and his mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Sam Sims. Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Beverly Strausser; son, Kelly Strausser and wife, Melissa; his cat, Rusty; and numerous cousins and friends. Wade Family Funeral Home Arlington, 817-274-9233
