Charlie Arthur Myers III, 66, of Alvin passed away October 9, 2017. He was born February 14, 1951 in Refugio, Texas to the late Charlie Arthur Myers, Jr. and Lillian Leila Culpepper Myers. He worked as a pipeline technician for Enterprise Products.
Charlie was full of life and could light up any room he walked into and have people laughing within minutes. He was even known to break out into a happy dance when he beat everyone playing “42”. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He grew up with a strong work ethic while always finding a way to have fun. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing 42, but what he loved most was spending time with his kids any chance he could get. Anybody that knew Charlie knew that he always had the answer to everything. His kids would often ask him questions, and he never lacked a response. He knew what to do and how to do it. With Charlie, you never had to guess what he was thinking or feeling. He would tell you exactly what was on his mind or heart, making everyone love him that much more. But family always meant the most to him, and he treasured the times he had with them.
Charlie’s love for the Lord was evident in the way he shared his heart with others and encouraged others around him. He was a kind man with a tough exterior, but would go out of his way to help others when they were in need. The only set of directions Charlie ever needed were in the Bible, and he trusted whatever the Lord had laid out for him. Charlie would often say without a doubt that he was ready anytime the Lord decided to call him Home.
He is survived by his loving wife DeeAnne Curtis Myers of Alvin; sister Doree Myers McKinley of Alvin; daughter Shannon Lee Davis of Graysville, Tennessee; daughter Lana Lynn Iapicco and husband, Tom Iapicco, of Spring Hill, Florida; son Clayton Alan Myers and wife, Kym Myers of George West, Texas; and son, Sam Blackard of Alvin, Texas; grandchildren Tyler Davis, Darla Davis, Wyatt Davis, Stephen Davis, Mason Myers, Christian Myers, Dane Myers, Whitney Rushing, and Delaney Rushing; great granddaughter Symphony Davis and great grandson Hayden Rushing.
