Melba (McConal) Slone, 89, of Brady, Texas went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Brady. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rest Haven in Brady. Melba was born on May 3, 1930 in Big Valley, Texas to Daniel McConal and Ara Belle (Cates) McConal. She was a resident of McCulloch County for sixty plus years. She loved to cook, crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, playing Rook and spending time with her family. Melba is survived by her one daughter, Jamye Graves and husband David of Brady, two daughter-in-laws, Laurie Slone of Richland Springs, Gloria Slone of Brady, eleven grandchildren, Jason, Bryan, Cory, Michael, Alisha, Daniel, Kristi, Kevin, Amanda, Rachel and Brittany and numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Melba is preceded in death by her husband, James Slone, three sons, Michael, Eddie and Russell, and her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers: her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, Melba Slone’s family request memorials are made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
