Service for Adelle Rasmussen, 82, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Payne will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blake Rasmussen, Bradley Rasmussen, Mason Keele, Danny Buchanan, Jason Murphy and David Lockridge. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. Ms. Rasmussen passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at her home in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Coleman County, Texas to Luther and Dora Crutcher. Adelle retired after serving for 38 years as an Executive Secretary for the surgical department at JPS Hospital in Ft. Worth. She was a fun, loving, caring, and sweet lady who enjoyed meeting people and had many special friends. Once she met a new face, she never forgot a name. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, Robert Rasmussen and wife Sara of Cleburne; daughter Deborah Buchanan of New Boston; grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Danny Buchanan, Blake Rasmussen, Bradley Rasmussen and great grandsons Cody and Alex Self; sister, Maxine Haney of Cleburne and Borgia Lockridge and husband Jim of Tyler, TX and Leif Rasmussen; four nieces, two nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alene Suttle and niece, Deana Spiller. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Community Hospice, especially Camea Kirkpatrick, for their commitment to provide compassionate and heartfelt care for Adelle.
