Service for Alpha Joy Beck, 75, of Dunlap, Tenn., formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Earl Sides will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Beck's sons-in-law and grandchildren. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday. Mrs. Beck passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Dunlap, Tenn. She was born April 29, 1937 in Cleburne to Leon Olin "Leo" and Daisy Ruth "Sally" Ratliff Newsom. She married Dewey Beck in 1986. Mrs. Beck was a retired optician. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted Christian and homemaker. Survivors include her children, Cheryl Haney and husband Ray of Dunlap, Tenn., Darrell Rathbun and wife Sue of Glencoe, Okla and Leighanne Gormley and husband Peter of Dallas; grandchildren, Keith Winsett, Brandon Winsett, Melissa Johnston, Gabriel Warren and David Gormley; 10 great grandchildren; sister, June Barnard Ashworth; aunt, Etha May "TD" Lancaster; three nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Olin "Leo" and Daisy Ruth "Sally" Ratliff Newsom, and husband, Dewey Beck in 2002.
